COSRX Pimple Patch and Blackhead Silk FingerBall review

I am breaking out so bad lately and I am in dire search of a product that will heal pimples fast. I was checking online reviews and found out about COSRX. Fans of K-Beauty are raving about their skin care line so I decided to give them a try.

COSRX

(Cosmetic RX) is a Korean Beauty brand and they focus on producing high-quality skin care products. They have worked with other brands like CIRACLE, Gatzmen, and C20. I went to check their site and I believe this guy is the brand’s mascot which I find cute and creepy AF at the same time.

COSRX
Maniac?

Okay, so I ordered the Acne Master Pimple Patch and Blackhead Silk FingerBall.

COSRX

The Acne Master Pimple Patch is a Hydrocolloid patch that heals acne, blemishes and prevents future breakout. There are 24 patches in a package that vary in size. The patches are close to translucent so it matches the skin pretty well and they’re barely noticeable.

Cleanse your face first before applying the patches on and make sure to apply on dry skin so it won’t peel off. You can use it in daytime or night time right before you sleep and remove after 8-12 hours.

COSRX

It’s best to use on ready to pop pimples (I know, gross). Leave it overnight and it will bring all the gunk out of the pore. I used it for 2 days and it helped heal nasty zits.

What I like

Leave it for a few hours or overnight and pus will be sucked out and it will also lessen the inflammation.

What I don’t like

Image result for pink thumbs up emoji COSRX does not have a physical store so you can only order their products online. If you’re living overseas, you can order through Amazon.

Image result for pink thumbs up emoji Would be nice to have a full mask of this but that’s just me nitpicking

Overall, COSRX’s Acne Master Pimple Patch is a great product. It’s not a miracle worker but it works well enough to heal pimples.

The Blackhead Silk FingerBall is a pretty interesting product. It’s made of 100% natural silk cocoon and it’s supposed to remove blackhead and sebum.

COSRX
I’ma eat those blackheads out! Nom Nom!

In a package, you’ll get 12 fingerballs.

COSRX

To use them, you need to soak a fingerball or two in warm water for atleast 3 minutes.  Put the fingerball on your finger and softly massage on the blackhead areas.

You can make a small cut if the fingerball won’t fit on your finger.

What I like

Image result for pink thumbs up emoji Non abrasive so you can use it to gently exfoliate the lips and nose area.

What I don’t like

Image result for pink thumbs up emoji A washcloth or exfoliating scrub works better to exfoliate the face

Image result for pink thumbs up emoji It smells weird.

I wouldn’t recommend this one simply because it’s just not that effective in removing blackheads.

Til Next 🙂

  1. oh, i haven’t tried the pimple patch from cosrx before but i’ve tried similar ones from nexcare and miacare. nexcare actually leaves the ‘healed’ pimple with a deep red mark. does corsx do that?

  2. Interesting product for teenagers prone to having zits. I am glad I am over this, but my sons may find this useful. Too bad it has to be ordered online though. I wish there was a physical store for this.

    1. I got mine from an online seller who sells Korean products. But yes you can also get this at Amazon

  3. Sometimes, I feel there are so many products and is very difficult to choose. I generally do facial to get rid of blackheads.

  4. Thanks for trying these out and sharing the results, the patches seem great. It’s perfect for teens who are always prone to pimples and acne. I am hesitant about that blackhead fingerball though, I’m not sure how it’s going to get rid of the blackheads.

    1. Hi Elizabeth! thanks for the comment. Unfortunately it doesn’t work on blackheads or whiteheads.

  5. Hi. Is your acne a hormone problem? Anyway, I like the way you reviewed the products. Simple. Honest. No frills, just how you experienced using the products. I hope your acne breakouts cease sooner rather than later. It can be … let’s say uncomfortable. But hey, personality is what people think is important and those who do think like that are the people who deserve to be in your company. 🙂

  6. Never heard of this brand before. they look cute. Im curious about how they work overnight for ready to pop pimples. I barely had pimple breakouts nowadays only on certain periods.. My monthly period, and sad that they leave awful pimple marks..

  7. Sometimes, good and products that suit your needs are only available online. Too bad but that’s how it is. Concealer has been a good buddy for the pimples. You just gave me an interesting and affordable new solution.

  8. That was one crazy , funny write-up about those products. I was sold with your COSRX patch and I would probably search this kind of product during my teen years or early twenties. I could recommend this though to the younger ones. I laughed out loud with your caption on the blackhead silk fingerball (I’m gonna eat out all your blackheads nom nom nom). That was really funny.

  9. I haven’t heard of both products before. I was surprised to see the fingerballs. Never seen something like that. It’s a pity it didn’t work too well. The first product seems ok. If I’d need it, I would give it a try.

  10. Prone to pimples here. And i am afraid to try products as pimples tend to come out with the wrong use of brand. But many say Korean beauty products are good for sensitive skin so might as well try this should I have breakout. But i wish i will never have na.

  11. I’ve always had clear skin so i don’t have any experience with this type of products. But this seems like a great one 🙂 It seems like it’s really useful

  12. This products is interesting. Too bad I didn’t have access to it when I was a teenager. hahaha I would have been a loyal user! But it’s also disappointing that it’s only available on Amazon.

  13. oh wow, this is really new to me.. who would have thought that this silk are not just effective materials for our dresses but also has properties that can cure acne! It’s very intriguing to me and I wouldn’t mind trying it for myself.. I just wonder if this will work for those who have sensitive skin?
